Although websites usually feature images of finished work, I also want to share my processes and my thinking. What steps go into creating large-scale public works? Here in the sketchbook section, you'll find informal shots of the things that inspire me, as well as the things that public artists spend most of their days doing----sketching, diagramming, collaborating, laying out models, working with engineering and architectural plans, testing and re-testing materials, and creating the components that go into each work. This sketchbook is a view from the studio.
