Fresh Kills Landfill, Staten Island NY, A proposal for Freshkills: Artist Respond to the closure of the Staten Island Landfill, the Snug Harbor Cultural Center 2001 Solar lights ,blue gels, poles. Unbuilt.

The piles of garbage at the landfill are covered with an impermeable cap to prevent rainwater from coming in contact with the garbage. This project maps the flow of rainwater down and across the capped landfill, The project is visible only at dusk and in the night, and best seen from the highway.
